A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the messages sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss messages because the other party has an out-of-date email address or has made a mistake. The drawback of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk email messages, but this issue can be solved using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound emails to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty if you’ve got a hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet remarkably easy to work with, and it will enable you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with only a few mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you will notice a small-size "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking it twice will deactivate it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got a different one with this feature enabled or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than one click if you have a Linux semi-dedicated server with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up with any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this functionality will be to click on that icon. In the very same fashion you will be able to deactivate the feature, if you do not need it anymore. Our system will let you know if you are attempting to activate a second catch-all email address for a particular domain name or if there is activated email forwarding, but it’ll never alter or deactivate any feature automatically or without your consent.
